The impact of the enlargement of the Comenius Regio ARCA.DIA.logue:
«Our path to awareness of our cultural and historical heritage»on the organization of some special events by the Municipality of Nea Filadelfia.

On Saturday, June 21st 2014, a special event was held in the small theatre of the World Cultural Foundation of the Greek Diaspora in Nea Filadelfia(W.C.F.G.O).
A theatrical synthesis was presented in the framework of the european partnership Comenius Regιο «ΑRCA.DIA.logue: Our path to awareness of our cultural, regional and historical heritage» and was entitled: «The Traditional Arcadian Wedding and An Approach to The Modern Marriage: A performance».
Τhe stage group of the 2nd Junior High School of Nea Filadelfia participated in this theatrical synthesis. The members of the group worked, full of good mood and enthusiasm, on the project.
The group of dancers of the Senior High School of Nea Halkidona, under the direction of the colleague Mr.Mantzaris, took part in the performance as well.
The role of the Matchmaker, the marriage settlement, the girls embroidering their trousseaux, the friends of the bride and the bridegroom, the bride’s giving away to the bridegroom, the traditional feast after the wedding ceremony were the main elements of the performance.
As it concerns the modern marriage institution the public had the opportunity to follow the young couple’s first meeting through technological means, a meeting which resulted in their wedding.
The event was attended by Mrs Dimitra Makri who is the school adviser responsible for the school and the coordinator of the european partnership Comenius Regio ARCA.DIA.logue, the representatives of the Municipality of Nea Filadelfia as well as the representatives of the Parents’Association of the 2nd Junior High School,a number of parents and many members of the local society who applauded our students.
The responsible educators for this synthesis were Mrs.Catherine Sarkou and Mrs.Xanthoula Vafiadaki.
The responsible for the video-projection and e-support was Mrs.I.Malliarou.
The responsible for the translation(from greek into english) was Mrs.M.Katsafadou.
